Poem: The edge of a dream

Inhabited Painting, Helena Almeida. 1975
A tall and high place, almost like
the edge of earth
Awe seeps through me but not me alone
Wide eyed, blue stretched out, further, it reached corners bigger than imagined.
A tiny black ship shadowed, no sun but blue
Blue blue blue, a pale egg shell blue
Early spring morning blue.
Misty eyed child blue,
Not sea blue, no
Softer dream blue,
Unreal blue
Psychosis blue
