Poem: dont drink the water

Janice Guy

That girl let me tell you…
that girl was crazy from the start.
All hail to the lovers she said
Ran into the night.

she walked half way across  the bridge
Looked at the roaring black water below
And thought
“blessed be the mystery of love”
Wound back to her lovers arms and said a sorry.
Tears streaming down her foreign cheeks.
A year later she was hospitable-
making so much tea she was hospitalised,
thinking she can talk to cats
being isn't in a tarot deck.

She ran crying (again) to the department of Theology
University of Glasgow
If this is all there is, reality is truly simulated
a Christian man was bewildered at this mini skirt and blouse.
What do you do to feel better?

River of unhappiness
Bells toll, following the ending
Sirens ring out.
“blessed be the mystery of love, survival of a whole lot”
