Poem: untitled #2

Mark Neville

O heart full of envy
Wish you could write like this – freely
I have the confidence of a Kennedy
Lack of love didn’t break me
Head against the telly didn’t break me,
Sublimate and sing this song with me
I can sin better than you, you and churchgoers who fuck in pews.
Steal words and I'll pluck them through your throat
Why do men cower when I speak?
My glass tongue, your own treacherous damped soul
Your soft butter is cut, mummy isn’t no fridge.
Daddy, daddy can I fill the barrel this time?
